“A walk around Oak Bay Marina in Victoria is always an adventure. It is a place I love to visit and spend some time wild Harbour Seals in their natural environment– sometimes six at a time. The personality of each comes out as each vie for your attention and the possibility of gaining a tasty fish. Some hang upside down performing acrobatics, slap the water and bark, others do the roll or spin – this one particularly made a personal connection with me by making strong eye contact each time he rose up “out of the blue” where I was standing and slapped the water just to make sure he got noticed.”
