"This piece was inspired by photos taken by my friend Gayle while out on a whale watching trip off Vancouver. She kindly allowed me to use three of her photos to meld together to make this piece - A magnificent bull and his entourage of twelve females."
"It always amazes me how different the shoreline can look - this painting is set in a misty morning when everything appears muted but the wonderful Sea Lions stand out in their rich colours, contrasting with the mist and spray as they prepare to return to the sea and answer the "Ocean's Call".
